07: Talk.
The year is almost up and this space has remained silent.
An unintentional omission to my 2022 plan, to be sure, but one I came to terms with months ago. What’s left to say when I have said enough?
I’ve spent this year diving deeper into my own world.
Focusing on my family and the development of my hilariously talkative two-year-old. Sharpening my workplace and making the most of any opportunity coming our way. Embracing my internal monologue and sorting through it with a professional.
There’s been a lot of talk. My hope is that’s it has resulted in progress and better work. And ultimately, I want my contributions and improvements to end up speaking for themselves.
Fortunately, you clicked here because you’re at least minimally interested in what I have to say.

Second: I was fortunately given ample runway to talk about life and work and work life on a pair of different longform podcasts this year.
Both interviews — Bing Bang’s Jealous with Aaron Young and Mackenzie Eddie, and CISN Radio’s Blake Walker, and their terrific teams — were generous with their time and questions. Both organizations are well-run and loaded with talent, easy to observe from my seat at the intersection of content creation, public relations, social media, video, and Central Iowa sports. We should all offer more compliments in life, but I have high standards for media companies that both Bing Bang and CISN exceed easily.
Anyway, I wanted to share them here for posterity and because it’s a straightforward way to catch up on my year. And it’s just talk.
